The Asset Management, Permitting System, Projects System, and Fire/Safety Inspection modules all have the ability to add and view Certificates in the system.
Important Notes
- The system will warn if a user attempts to create a certificate on a permit record where a final inspection has not been created and showing in pass status. The user has the ability to override this process.
- The data displayed will vary from module to module. Learn more about Records Lists.

Create a Certificate
- Sign in to your site
- Navigate to the applicable module and List
- Search for and select a record from the list
- Click Edit (Permitting & Project Systems only)
- Select the Certificates tab
- Click Add New
- The system will assign a Certificate # to the record, select the certificate Type
- Enter the Date the certificate was issued and if the certificate Expires, enter an expiration date
- Select to who the certificate should be Addressed To
- If you require your certificate number to print on the certificate as the same as the permit number, enter the number into the Print Certificate # field
Note: You may need to contact Support to enable this feature. - Enter any Comments or Notes you need to appear on the certificate
- Select the Signatory and Signatory Title. This is the signature and title that will appear on the certificate.
Note: You must supply an electronic signature for this to apply to the certificate. - Click Save Certificate
Print a Certificate
- Sign in to your site

Navigate to the applicable module and select List
- Search for and select a record from the list
- Select Print Menu
- Select the correct certificate to print, configure options as needed, and click the Print button
View & Edit Existing Certificates
- Sign in to your site
- Navigate to the applicable module and select Certificates
- Use the search parameters to filter results and click Search
- The list will populate with available results, click the Details link to view the record a certificate is associated with
- Navigate to the Certificates tab and select the applicable certificate if there's more than one
- Scroll down to view the Certificate Data
- To modify the certificate, click Edit on the record (Permitting & Project Systems only)
- Navigate back to the Certificate tab and update fields on the certificate as needed
- Click Save Certificate
